We’re excited to announce a major update to Task Management, featuring a new left-hand navigation experience and enhanced visibility for permissioned users. These improvements are designed to make it easier to manage, track and take action on tasks across your business.
What’s New:
- Streamlined Navigation: a redesigned left nav option makes it easier to access and manage your tasks
- Exportable Task Views: Generates reports quickly by exporting task views
- Expanded Visibility: Permissioned users can now view tasks across locations, companies or individuals
How to Use the New Task Management
Access the New View
a. Use the Left Navigation under Task Management
b. Or, from the Open Tasks Widget, click the kabob menu -> Task Management
Refresh Your View
a.Click ‘Refresh’ to see the latest open tasks
b. Refresh updates once daily automatically or manually every 15 minutes
User-Specific Functionality
a. Non-Permissioned Users
i. View only your assigned tasks
ii. Tasks have clickable ID that take you directly to the relevant area
iii. Use search (Task ID or Name) and filters (Task Type, Due Date, Status, Workflow Name)
b. Permissioned Users
i.View tasks across your business based on selected filters
ii.Additional filter options: Assignee, Assignee Location, Group, Department, Customer Fields, etc
iii. Permissions applicable are View Tasks and Employee Profiles
Task Completion
a. Completed tasks will no longer appear in Task Management
b. Click Refresh to update your view
Relevant Permissions
To view tasks across your organization, users must be permissioned employees, which requires both of the follow permission in Control Panel -> Roles and Permissions
- View Tasks
- Determines which tasks appear in the Task Management table
- Employee Profile
- Enables access to the Assignee filter
NOTE: A user must have both permission to unlock organization-wide task visibility and filtering.
