1. Duration Now Displayed on Training Certificates
Training certificates now display the duration of the training in the top right corner.
What it does:
- Shows how long the trainee spent on the training directly on their certificate
- Applies to both online and group trainings
- Helps meet documentation requirements (such as California SB 513) that require training time to be recorded
2. Online Training Duration – Captured Automatically
For online trainings, duration is captured automatically based on the time the user spent in the lesson.
How it works:
- Duration is recorded as the user completes the lesson
- Displayed in minutes for trainings one minute or longer
- Displayed in seconds for trainings under one minute (useful for short micro-courses)
- No setup required — duration is captured and added to the certificate automatically
3. Group Training Duration – Manual Entry Required
For group trainings, admins now enter the duration manually when creating or editing a group training.
How it works:
- A new Duration field appears on the group training creation form
- Duration is entered in minutes
- The field is required to create or save a group training
- The entered duration appears on each assignee’s certificate
How to get started
For online trainings: No action needed — duration will be captured and displayed on certificates automatically.
For group trainings:
- Go to Group Trainings in your Admin panel
- Click Create Group Training (or open an existing one to edit)
- Fill in the training details
- In the Duration field, enter how long the training took (in minutes)
- Assign the training to your selected employees
- Save your changes
The duration will appear on each assignee’s certificate once the training is marked complete.
